Why Accepting Scary Thoughts Is Worth It?
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) teaches you that you can accept thoughts that scare you without responding to them as emergencies.

Although bad things happen in life, you can live your life without the burden of always trying to control or avoid catastrophes you fear.
- You don't need to make thoughts go away.
- You don't need to interpret them as dangerous, as you do now.
- You won't become the opposite of the person you are and behave in ways contrary to your values.
- You'll stay true to your values, but you won't fear intrusive thoughts just because they're at odds with what you deem to be important.
